01 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, creating an account, or using Meetlingua in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms form a binding legal contract between you and Meetlingua, Inc.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

02 The Service

Meetlingua provides a real-time multilingual meeting platform, including:

–Speech-to-text transcription with speaker diarization

–Machine translation of audio and chat in real time

–Text-to-speech synthesis of translated content

–Meeting recording, transcripts, and AI-generated summaries

–Calendar integration and meeting history dashboard

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with 30 days' notice to registered users. Emergency security suspensions may happen without notice.

03 Acceptable Use

You must not use Meetlingua to:

–Record or transcribe any participant without their knowledge or consent

–Transmit illegal, defamatory, harassing, or abusive content

–Violate any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights

–Attempt to reverse-engineer, circumvent, or abuse the translation or transcription pipeline

–Use the service to train competing AI models or resell translations without a commercial licence

–Impersonate another person or entity

–Probe, scan, or test the service's security vulnerabilities

–Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or extract content without permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.

04 Intellectual Property

You retain all ownership rights to content you create. By using Meetlingua, you grant us a limited licence to process, store, and analyse your content solely to provide and improve the service.

Meetlingua's software, algorithms, translation models, branding, and documentation are our sole property. You may not modify, copy, or adapt them without our written permission.

We respect third-party intellectual property. If you believe Meetlingua infringes your rights, contact us at legal@meetlingua.com with details and evidence.

05 Subscriptions & Billing

Free tier

Limited to 1 meeting per month, 30 minutes max duration, 2 participants. Paid upgrades are not active yet.

Paid plans

Paid plans are currently disabled while Stripe setup is pending. We will not collect payment details or charge you until billing is enabled.

Cancellation

There are no active paid subscriptions to cancel while payments are disabled.

Overages

If you exceed plan limits, we may enforce the limit or invite you to join the paid plan waitlist. We will not bill overages while payments are disabled.

06 Warranties & Disclaimers

Meetlingua is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Machine translation is not perfect. Do not rely solely on Meetlingua translations for medical, legal, safety-critical, or financial decisions.

–We make no guarantee of uptime, availability, or latency targets outside of a signed SLA

–Translation accuracy may vary by language pair and domain

–ASR (speech recognition) may fail or misrecognize words, especially with accents or background noise

–Third-party services (OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Twilio) may be unavailable

You use Meetlingua at your own risk. We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage caused by relying on our service.

07 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

–Meetlingua's total liability is capped at the fees you paid in the prior 12 months, or $100, whichever is greater

–We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages

–This includes lost profits, data loss, reputational harm, or business interruption

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations. In those cases, liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

08 Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising from or relating to these Terms or the service shall be resolved by final and binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association (AAA) Commercial Arbitration Rules, conducted by a single neutral arbitrator in Wilmington, Delaware.

By using Meetlingua, you waive any right to a jury trial or class action. EU and UK consumers retain statutory rights under applicable consumer protection law, including the right to pursue claims in their local courts.

09 Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or pose a security or legal risk.

You may delete your account anytime from your account settings. Upon termination, your access is revoked; your data may be retained as per our Privacy Policy.
